Boujaad rug - size 170 x 263 cm

Casa W handpicks all our vintage rugs in Morocco ourselves and spends a long time selecting just the right ones. This rug is newly produced and features the finest graphic pattern in lovely colors.

The vintage rugs are hand-woven in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco – and typically originate from the Beni M'Guild, Boujaad, or Beni Ourain/Mamousha tribes. The rugs are made of 100 percent sheep's wool, which is naturally dyed, and the beauty of the rugs lies in the color combinations – a palette of muted shades that have faded over time. The rugs are full of beautiful shapes and symbolism. Each individual rug tells its own story, rooted in a strong tribal tradition and the weaver's narrative.

The rug is 102 x 150 cm excluding fringe.
